Meet the Board
Founder & President
Lisa Lewis
Lisa founded ACT Through Music Inc. after losing her brother Adam to suicide. She spent years successfully raising funds for other non-profit organizations and as satisfying as that was, she felt that she needed to do more. Lisa wanted to be able to know for certain where her donations were going and how they were being used to help prevent and bring awareness to suicide. That desire fueled her passion to start her own non-profit.
Lisa was born and raised in the Orange County, NY area and currently resides in Sullivan County, NY with her husband John and 3 dogs. She has over 20 years of administrative experience and for the last 9 years has been in the insurance industry and is currently licensed to sell Property and Casualty, Life and Health insurance in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In her free time Lisa enjoys going for motorcycle rides with her husband and listening to live music.

Vice President
Gabrielle Gargan-Godlewski
Gabrielle was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, NY. She relocated to Orange County, NY in 2002, where she currently resides with her family. After a career in aviation, Gabrielle chose to be a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. Her love of children led her to volunteer as a teacher’s aide for five years at their preschool. Once her children were of school age, she furthered her interest in childhood education and became a substitute teacher within the Minisink Valley School District. During this time, her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which deeply impacted her daily life. She quickly became an advocate for raising awareness and funds for research and potential cures. She pursued this for several years, and gladly accepted the opportunity to create and deliver her own presentation to elementary school students on the topic. With her desire to continue to assist our youth, Gabrielle has turned her focus to mental health. She is passionate about furthering the mental health outreach in youth and supporting those within her local community. Gabrielle is eager to assist in bringing ACT Through Music Inc. into schools and creating more opportunities to educate students on such issues.
